9:00am Contemporary Service in our Chapel (September through May)
Join with us as we worship and give thanks to our Creator with contemporary Christian songs of praise! This service is lead by our praise team and features a meditation by Pastor Kari. All of those who love Jesus are welcome to share in communion with us every week. Arrive a few minutes early to get your younger children settled into Sunday School, or keep them with you (this service is family friendly) as we worship and sing praises together!
10:30am Worship Service in our Sanctuary (September though May)
Come and worship our Lord during this more traditional service, as we sing time honored hymns lead by our choir. The focus is on our personal relationship with Jesus as we listen to the word of the Lord through Pastor Kari's sermon. This service features communion on the first Sunday of every month. Our nursery is available and staffed with awesome, caring (and screened) volunteers, for your childcare needs. Sunday school is available for grades 1st through 4th. Please have your children come with you into the Sanctuary. They will be escorted to their classroom by their teacher midway through service.
Come Worship with us * All are welcome...
Ring out in joyful noise for Jesus!! We play at the 10:30am service on the third Sunday of every other month beginning in October. In addition we perform a Christmas Special in December, once at the Bensalem Visitors Center and again right here at First Presbyterian Church of Levittown. Our practices are held Tuesday evenings 7:30 to 9:00. If God is calling you to Music Ministry, but you don't know where you fit in, try our Bell Choir. You don't have to have classical instrumental training, just a love for music and a desire to bring glory to God.
Music at First Pres
because God doesn't take a break from us....
1 Therefore, I urge you, brothers and sisters, in view of God’s mercy, to offer your bodies as a living sacrifice, holy and pleasing to God—this is your true and proper worship.
2 Do not conform to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God’s will is—his good, pleasing and perfect will.
We lead the 9:00 service and guide hearts to worship during preludes to the 10:30 service.
Practice is held once a month and we rehearse for that day's 9:00am service every Sunday at 8:15am.
We are currently auditioning guitarists, bass guitarists and other instrumentalists with a heart for Jesus, to help lead our contemporary service.
Please stay after the 9:00 service and talk with us - we'll be glad to answer any of your questions, pray with you and set up a time to meet with our band leader to audition.
9:00am Contemporary Service in our (air conditioned) Chapel (June through August)
Stay tuned to Jesus all summer long as our Contemporary service continues through the year. Keep your kiddos with you in the Chapel during the summer months as our Sunday School teachers take time to refresh for the coming year.
10:30 Worship Service in our Chapel (June though August)
The choir may be taking a break but we worship with a joyful noise through the summer months. This worship service is more traditional as always, but during the summertime, expect a mix of traditional hymns with a bit more contemporary Christian music with the praise band, soloists and ensemble groups.
Remember, Sunday School is out for the summer, so keep your kids with you in the Chapel.
What IS that heavenly sound? Could it be angels? It could be (you never know!), but it's probably the First Pres Chancel Choir. We lead the congregation in classic hymns and traditional responses at the 10:30 service. We sing during special services such as Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve and Easter. Practice is held every Wednesday evening from 7:30 to 9:00, September through May and are always looking for musically minded individuals to blend with us in an outstanding way!
