There is so much need in our area and throughout the world. As it says in Luke 10:2, "The harvest truly is great, but the laborers are few; therefore pray the Lord of harvest to send out laborers into His harvest" One of our biggest jobs is deciding where and how to help those hurting and hungry both spiritually and physically. We meet the 4th Thursday of every other month at 7:00pm and we would really appreciate if you take the time to pray and see if God could be calling you to the Missions Committee.
Missions Committee received $8,75.72 for our Livestock for Lent collections. The decided as a committee to order a pair of goats, 1 cow, 2 families of chickens, 2 piglets and bee keeping set up. These animals help provide a way for impoverished families to make a living to support their families.
During the month of May we will be collecting for Rev. Unzu Lee, our Liaison to East Asia. She has replaced the Lims' who we have supported for the last several years. Rev. Lee will continue to work out of South Korea and will be working throughout East Asia as our Missionary. Please keep Rev. Lee in your prayers.
We will be collecting donations for UNTO Water filters throughout the month of June.
MISSION TRIP: We are looking into going to UNTO on June 26. We would leave church at 7am and return back at around 6pm. There will be a signup sheet available soon.
We are asking for prayers for UNTO as they are working with small support groups. UNTO volunteers pack rice and beans, seeds, blankets (quilts), water irrigation and water filters as well as clothing which is sent to support people living in some of the harshest conditions in the world. The demand is still large but the workers and support is low due to Covid19 fears and restrictions. UNTO's mission is to help you express the kindness of Jesus to people living in the toughest places on earth.
