The Evangelism Committee at First Presbyterian Church is responsible spreading the love of Jesus beyond the walls of our church building.
We host our annual Christmas Bazaar and an indoor Winter Carnival. Also, this committee hosts (along with a few other committees) the multiple events held over Easter Week.
Our events are typically held at our church building and grounds and all are welcome here! If you attend any of our events, come visit our Prayer Tent. We strive to have our prayer ministry available at most of the events that are held. We pray the good works of this committee help to open people's hearts to hear the word of the Lord, draw in visitors and new family to our congregation and share the Lord with everyone.
Mark 16:15 reads : He said to them, "Go into the world and preach the gospel to all creation."
We believe in a loving and merciful God who came to this earth in the form of Jesus of Nazareth, lived a sinless life, suffered and died on the cross to atone for our sins, and then rose again from the dead so that we might live with Him forever. This same Jesus will also be coming back again to judge the unrepentant and establish His kingdom with a new heaven and a new earth.

Women's Ministries: retreats, events, sisters in Christ.
At First Presbyterian Church of Levittown, our missions committee educates the congregation about God’s work. We provide the congregation with news of not only what is happening in the world, but also what God’s people are doing about it by supporting and reporting on missionaries around the world. The committee asks missionaries supported by the church to visit the congregation to share about their work. Members get to ask questions and hear stories they’ll never get from the news. We give intentional care to these missionaries staying connected by prayer and financial support. A few we currently support are Jews for Jesus, Reverend Lee in South Korea and the Kennedy family in Egypt.
We empower members to engage in missions whether locally or globally, the world around us needs Jesus. Providing opportunities to serve and provide discipleship either locally or far, mission trips allow us to be the hands and feet of Jesus. Members have traveled to other countries to spread the gospel and financial support has provided items such as water filters for 3rd world countries and Livestock for Lent. Some members travel to other states working with organizations such as Samaritan's Purse doing clean up projects and rebuilding projects. Others support local missions such as Family Promise, Trenton Clothes Bin, UNTO and Caring for Friends.
37 Then he said to his disciples, “The harvest is plentiful but the workers are few. 38 Ask the Lord of the harvest, therefore, to send out workers into his harvest field.”

The goal of the Worship Committee is to provide and coordinate resources enabling the congregation to join together in worshiping our LORD. Representing the interests and needs of the congregation and staff, this committee seeks to support the leaders and worshipers with careful planning, worship aids and elements, instruction and information about changes, updates and history in worship patterns and desires, a healthy balance of tradition and new ideas, and to know the joy of serving our Lord and the church in trying to accomplish these goals.
The committee usually meets every 3 months, but has been meeting more regularly lately due to fluctuations in our services due to Covid restrictions and recommendations.
The Biblical grounding of the worship committee is based on - Colossians 3:16-17 ESV
Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly, teaching and admonishing one another in all wisdom, singing psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, with thankfulness in your hearts to God. And whatever you do, in word or deed, do everything in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God the Father through him.
