Here at First Presbyterian Church of Levittown, we are committed to:
1. Sharing the love of Jesus with ALL of God’s children.
2. Providing a safe and healing haven for the broken and weary.
3. Providing an enthusiastic, faith filled and joyful support system for one another as we engage in our ministries to the world.
If you are looking for a loving church family to call your own, we invite you to join with our congregation in the wonderful adventure of following Jesus. The members of First Presbyterian Church of Levittown are caring, compassionate and full of life and a love for Jesus Christ. The Holy Spirit is strong in this church! If you are willing to step into this fellowship you will be faithfully embraced and supported as you continue your spiritual journey and find your ministry though your own personal relationship with Jesus.
We believe in a loving and merciful God who came to this earth in the form of Jesus of Nazareth, lived a sinless life, suffered and died on the cross to atone for our sins, and then rose again from the dead so that we might live with Him forever. This same Jesus will also be coming back again to judge the unrepentant and establish His kingdom with a new heaven and a new earth.

In addition to assuming the duties of stewardship, the BMT oversees the business-related aspects of church. This includes establishing the annual budget, managing revenue and expenses, and other such financial matters. The BMT also works in tandem with the Properties Committee in selecting vendors for capital improvements and other significant projects.
At First Presbyterian Church of Levittown, our missions committee educates the congregation about God’s work. We provide the congregation with news of not only what is happening in the world, but also what God’s people are doing about it by supporting and reporting on missionaries around the world. The committee asks missionaries supported by the church to visit the congregation to share about their work. Members get to ask questions and hear stories they’ll never get from the news. We give intentional care to these missionaries staying connected by prayer and financial support. A few we currently support are Jews for Jesus, Reverend Lee in South Korea and the Kennedy family in Egypt.
We empower members to engage in missions whether locally or globally, the world around us needs Jesus. Providing opportunities to serve and provide discipleship either locally or far, mission trips allow us to be the hands and feet of Jesus. Members have traveled to other countries to spread the gospel and financial support has provided items such as water filters for 3rd world countries and Livestock for Lent. Some members travel to other states working with organizations such as Samaritan's Purse doing clean up projects and rebuilding projects. Others support local missions such as Family Promise, Trenton Clothes Bin, UNTO and Caring for Friends.
37 Then he said to his disciples, “The harvest is plentiful but the workers are few. 38 Ask the Lord of the harvest, therefore, to send out workers into his harvest field.”

We strive to have our prayer ministry available at most of the events that are held. We pray the good works of this committee help to open people's hearts to hear the word of the Lord, draw in visitors and new family to our congregation and share the Lord with everyone.

The goal of the Worship Committee is to provide and coordinate resources enabling the congregation to join together in worshiping our LORD. Representing the interests and needs of the congregation and staff, this committee seeks to support the leaders and worshipers with careful planning, worship aids and elements, instruction and information about changes, updates and history in worship patterns and desires, a healthy balance of tradition and new ideas, and to know the joy of serving our Lord and the church in trying to accomplish these goals.
The committee usually meets every 3 months, but has been meeting more regularly lately due to fluctuations in our services due to Covid restrictions and recommendations.
The Biblical grounding of the worship committee is based on - Colossians 3:16-17 ESV
Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly, teaching and admonishing one another in all wisdom, singing psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, with thankfulness in your hearts to God. And whatever you do, in word or deed, do everything in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God the Father through him.
